Generation of photovoltaic solar energy in Spain (GWh)
Since 2010, the use of photovoltaic solar energy in Spain has grown exponentially. The accumulated installed capacity for self-consumption amounts to 5,249 MW. Breaking it down by sectors, it is observed that the majority of this new capacity (47%) corresponds to the industrial sector. The residential sector accounts for 32% and the commercial sector for 20%, while isolated self-consumption represents the remaining 1%.
How does a Photovoltaic solar kit work?
A photovoltaic solar energy system with batteries for self-consumption harnesses sunlight through solar panels. These panels convert solar energy into electricity that can be used immediately or stored in batteries for later use.
